Overview
Caftan d'amour is a Moroccan romantic drama following Khalil, a bachelor who tends his family's farm on the city outskirts and dreams of finding his soulmate. When a woman of exceptional beauty appears in his dreams, he takes it as a sign — and fate obliges the very next day, when he crosses paths with Rachida in the old city's alleys. Convinced she is the woman of his destiny, Khalil rushes into marriage, only to discover that the woman who was once a dream quickly becomes a nightmare. A wry and bittersweet look at romantic idealism and the reality it collides with.
