A true story of the escape of six Palestinians from the Islamic Jihad movement during the month of Ramadan, on May 17, 1987. The novel begins with the son of a martyr working inside the occupied territories. He returns to his home during the curfew, and discovers that his only son suffers from a high temperature, so he decides to break the curfew and take him to the hospital. On the way, he meets occupation soldiers, who prevent him from continuing his journey and ask him to throw his son on the ground. He is arrested and tortured in a barbaric manner. After a while, he is released and searches for his father’s martyr’s weapon buried under the tree. One of the agents sees it and slanders him, so he is arrested and tortured again for the second time in the same brutal way.
