Overview

Muallifa Waqiiyya Jiddan is a Gulf comedy series following Maha, a young novelist whose books fail to sell. Pressured by her mother Rashida to abandon writing and settle down into marriage, Maha refuses and devises an unconventional solution: she will go undercover, working a different job for each new book so that her fiction is grounded in lived experience rather than imagination. The result is a warm, funny series of disguises and professional misadventures that poke affectionate fun at the gap between artistic ambition and commercial reality, while making a quiet case for the value of authentic storytelling.
