Overview

Al-Yakhour is an Arabic stage comedy that follows Noah, the father of Laith, as he abandons city life in search of rural tranquility, convinced that a change of scenery is the remedy for his discontent. He surprises his young children by marrying Nahawand in the countryside, only to gradually discover that the problem was never the city at all — it was within himself all along. With a light comedic touch, the play poses thoughtful questions about happiness, self-awareness, and the human tendency to seek external solutions to internal struggles.
