Salt of This Sea is a Palestinian drama film following Soraya, a Brooklyn-born woman raised by Palestinian refugee parents. When she discovers that her grandfather's life savings remain frozen in a Jaffa bank account — locked away since his forced exile in 1948 — she travels to the land of her ancestors determined to reclaim what rightfully belongs to her family. What begins as a straightforward mission quickly unravels into a deeply personal and politically charged journey, pushing Soraya far beyond her comfort zone. A powerful film exploring Palestinian identity, diaspora, and the long shadow of displacement.
