Overview

No Harissa is a Tunisian comedy film that playfully explores identity and belonging through an unlikely premise. Taher, a man who loudly declares his disdain for harissa — the beloved Tunisian spice that is practically synonymous with national pride — suddenly finds himself thrust into an uncomfortable spotlight. His outspoken rejection of this cultural staple sets off a chain of events that draws unwanted attention and forces him on an unexpected journey of self-discovery. With dry humor and sharp social observation, the film uses one man's unconventional stance to probe deeper questions about identity, culture, and what it means to belong.
