Overview

Ladies Coffee is an Arabic short horror film that blends cultural tradition with Lovecraftian dread. When Roula invites her friend Zeina and young daughter Reem over for an Arabic coffee gathering in search of suitors, what begins as an ordinary social ritual takes a terrifying turn. Encouraged to participate in a coffee cup reading ceremony, Reem unwittingly opens a door she cannot close — suddenly seeing and hearing things beyond the veil of everyday reality. Drawing on H.P. Lovecraft's tradition of cosmic horror, the film transforms a simple domestic gathering into a descent into irreversible supernatural experience. A chilling exploration of how ancient customs can carry dark, unknowable dimensions.
