Komany is a sharp political black comedy set in the fictional nation of Lashistan, ruled by an iron-fisted dictator. When a religious sect plots to overthrow him and seize power, their scheme takes a darkly absurd turn: QBZ chief Mozad proposes fabricating footage of the president committing atrocities and acts of debauchery to discredit him. Enter Komany — a hard-drinking actor with an uncanny resemblance to the president — recruited as the unwitting centerpiece of the conspiracy.
