Kash Kash: Without Feathers We Can't Live is a documentary set in Beirut, a city torn apart by a corrupt political class, mass protests, and one of the largest non-nuclear explosions in history. Above the city's rooftops, the filmmaker discovers an unexpected source of hope: the ancient pigeon game of chance known as Kash Hamam, in which players release their flocks every evening and attempt to lure neighboring pigeons to their rooftops. Following three pigeon players and a young girl during Lebanon's recent political and economic collapse, the film asks a profound question: why do we keep flying when everything is falling apart?
