Into Nothingness is a North African drama centered on Sélima, a 25-year-old barmaid with an unusual and quietly devastating gift: an extreme sensitivity and near-supernatural capacity to absorb the pain of those around her. She relieves others of their suffering — but this generosity comes at a mounting cost to herself. The film raises a searching question about the ethics and limits of empathy: how much can one person give before losing themselves entirely?
