State of Love is an Egyptian romantic comedy series that plays with the idea of doppelgängers to explore identity and class. An aristocratic television presenter begins behaving strangely after marriage, while across town her exact lookalike, Eshk, leads a completely different life shaped by contrasting circumstances and values. As their two worlds inch toward collision, the series asks how much of who we are is destiny and how much is environment. Light-hearted yet surprisingly thoughtful, State of Love blends romantic tension with charming comedy.
