Overview

Cabo Negro is a Moroccan drama film following Soundouss and Jaâfar, two gay young men from Casablanca who escape to a rented villa in the northern coastal resort of Cabo Negro for the summer. The villa was booked by Jaâfar's American lover, who never arrives — leaving the pair to make the best of their unexpected solitude. As sun-drenched days stretch on, the film quietly excavates the tensions, desires, and unspoken anxieties that surface between two friends navigating identity and intimacy against the backdrop of a conservative society. A subtle and intimate portrait of modern Moroccan youth.
