BeBe is a Lebanese comedy-drama starring Maggie Bou Ghosn as Badiaa Badran, a physically beautiful 33-year-old woman whose mental development stopped at age eight. Living with her Alzheimer's-afflicted grandmother Teta Latifa, Badiaa's sheltered world is upended when the grandmother entrusts her with a bag holding one million dollars. Suddenly the target of her gambling-addicted brother's schemes and the object of Youssef El Khal's affections, Badiaa stumbles through a world of greed, political intrigue, and first love she is entirely unprepared for. Warm, funny, and unexpectedly moving, BeBe is a Lebanese film that finds humanity in the most unlikely of places.
