The Room of Mice is an Alexandrian drama weaving together six interlocking stories, each centered on a character in the grip of a private fear. A son unable to express love to his dying father; a man paralyzed by the daily act of crossing the street; a bride overwhelmed by the prospect of marriage on her wedding night; a girl stumbling upon her grandmother's secrets at play; a widow who has not slept soundly since her husband's death; a woman dreading the unknown as her departure date approaches. A richly observed portrait of human vulnerability, told through six quietly devastating vignettes.
