Overview

Honey, Rain & Dust is a UAE documentary portrait of three of the most respected honey specialists in the country's northern regions — Aisha, Fatima, and Ghareeb. Aisha and Fatima roam the Hajar Mountains freely in pursuit of the finest wild honey, while Ghareeb has built a carefully controlled sanctuary for his bees at high altitude. But the bees themselves are under pressure: climate change and shifting environments are making survival and honey production increasingly precarious. As bees become ever more central to the lives and livelihoods of all three, the film asks an urgent question about the fragile reciprocity between humans and the natural world: how long can it last?
