Overview

Amakour is an Arabic comedy series set in the 1950s, following Abdul Wahab, a well-meaning but slow-witted young man whose limited intelligence constantly lands him — and his long-suffering father — in one comedic predicament after another. Amid the pressures of mid-century social life, Abdul Wahab's overriding ambition is to win the hand of his girlfriend Hida, but his hapless misadventures make the road to romance anything but straightforward. The series blends situational humor with a nostalgic portrait of everyday life from a bygone era.
