Overview

Facade is a bittersweet short film following Jamal, a young man determined to project success he does not yet possess. Dressed in a suit that looks elegant from afar but without shoes to complete it, and forever checking a broken watch as though every second counts, Jamal is locked in a performance he cannot afford to drop. Rejected at a job interview, ejected by a security guard, and missing his bus, he clings to the image of a capable, important man in the hope that looking the part will eventually become reality. A gently satirical and deeply human portrait of aspiration, dignity, and the lengths people go to in societies that judge by appearances.
