Al-Taghriba Al-Falastiniyya (Palestinian Alienation) is widely regarded as one of the greatest Arabic television dramas ever produced. Written by Palestinian poet Walid Seif — drawing on his own family's history — and directed by the late Syrian master Hatem Ali, it is the first comprehensive dramatic telling of the Palestinian Nakba. The series follows a poor rural Palestinian family from the 1930s British Mandate period through the massacres of 1948 and the shattering defeat of 1967, documenting with unflinching honesty how a people endures dispossession, exile, and loss across generations.
