Overview

The Ancestors is a Gulf comedy series that brings two grandmothers from different generations under one roof, each armed with a strong personality, a passion for social media, and a completely idiosyncratic view of marriage and domesticity. Their cohabitation is a recipe for relentless conflict — over the house, over daily routines, over who gets the most followers — played out with broad comic energy. The series taps into the very modern phenomenon of social-media obsession among older generations, generating humor from generational contradictions and the timeless friction of family life packed into a single home.
