Overview
Fate is an Arabic dramatic film that tells the story of a poor farmer who, with the help of an elderly village man, discovers an enormous jewel buried in the mud. What seems like a miraculous windfall quickly becomes a burden — the jewel is so vast that no buyer can be found, thieves circle relentlessly, and greedy merchants scheme to acquire it for a pittance. The film is a meditation on fate, greed, and the cruel irony that great fortune can bring greater misfortune to those least equipped to bear it.
