Overview

The events of the series take place in Kuwait in the late 1950s, through the main character (Boukhalifa), a man in his 50s who is proficient in the alternative medicine profession. He is like Al-Faraj’s barber and her doctor. “Bu Khalifa” was famous for his various works, including extracting teeth, cleaning children, performing cupping, repairing fractures, treating eyes, cauterizing, untying ties, treating ruqyahs, and expelling jinn. He had such wisdom and acumen that he provided assistance to everyone who sought him to solve their problems, so that his fame spread. Through his dealings with his patients, we see funny comedic situations interspersed with some projections of the reality we currently live in. Bou Khalifa's character is characterized by extreme kindness, which reflects the reality of the majority of those who lived in that beautiful time and the true image of the kindness of the people of Al-Faraj and helping each other in good times and bad.
