The Closed Door, is a 1994 Moroccan movie, directed by Abdelkader Lagtaa, and starring Mohammed Zouhir, Mireille CREISSON. Malika ROUIMI.
The Closed Door (Al-Bab Al-Masdud) is a Moroccan drama set in Casablanca, following Said, a man in his thirties living under the same roof as Halima, his father's separated wife. Halima strongly opposes Said's feelings for his colleague Hayat, pushing the relationship into secrecy and tension. Said joins Hayat without Halima's knowledge, but his repeated hesitations wear down Hayat's patience — and she eventually leaves him for another man. A restrained and melancholic portrait of domestic constraints and romantic indecision, the film explores how family dynamics can quietly close the doors that desire tries to open.
