Chronic (Aa Shafir) is a Lebanese art-house drama set almost entirely within the intimate walls of a Beirut photography studio. Between the studio's walls, bodies become the medium through which stories of sex, love, and trauma are expressed and examined. The film is a meditative, boundary-pushing character study that uses the art of photography as a lens on Beirut's complex emotional landscape.
