Sherif Wali

Sherif Waly, Egyptian director, producer and screenwriter, His real name is Boutros Zarbanelli, owner of Al-Hilal Films Company. He converted to Islam to marry the artist Samira Ahmed in 1952, and became known as “Sherif Wali.” But after their divorce, Sherif left Egypt for Greece, where he moved his activities for many years. Then he returned in 1962 to Cairo, trying to resume artistic activity, but he was unable to continue, so he returned to where he came from. He wrote many scripts for many films, including (The Last to Know) by Kamal Attia, and he has many films, including (The Family Tree).
