An Iraqi director, producer, graphic designer, photographer, painter, and author, he was born in Babil Governorate in Iraq in 1983. He participated in many art exhibitions from a young age and won a number of awards and certificates of appreciation. He grew up in the city of Baghdad, where he completed his studies, and then moved to live in the United Arab Emirates, where he founded with his brother, director and producer Ali Abu Khamra, the “Etana Production” company for television and film production. His first work in drama and comedy directing was in Fawazir “Znoud Al-Sitt”, which was shown on Al-Sharqiya satellite channel, where the work achieved overwhelming success in Iraq and won first place in viewership in 2009. He then continued to direct a number of works. The most important of them was directing and writing the series "Canary", which was shown in Ramadan 2010 on Al-Sharqiya channel. Then he came up with the idea and directed the first animated series in Iraq, which was shown on Al-Sharqiya channel. Al-Atak series, which achieved the highest viewing rate on YouTube and in Iraq, where it won the award for the best business idea on Al-Sharqiya channel. Al-Atak series became an icon as it was the first Iraqi cartoon character shown on television. In the same year, director Muhannad Abu Khamra was filming the comedy series "Samba" in the most beautiful and dangerous cities in the world, Rio. De Janeiro in Brazil, where it was the first Iraqi and Arab work filmed entirely on the Latin American continent. In 2012, he won the award for best comedy at the Cairo Arab Media Festival 2012 for the series “The Greatest Liar,” which he directed in collaboration with his brother, director Ali Abu Khamra. It is considered the first Arab series that was filmed with movie cameras and used the latest computer technologies and visual effects in it, as it achieved overwhelming success in Iraq, followed by the second part of the same series, which was shown. On Al-Rasheed satellite channel. Among his critical works is directing the cartoon series Al-Rais, which is a satirical series that criticizes the political situation in Iraq. Then he created and directed the series Shalash from Hay Al-Tanak and Habzabuz. He also directed the series Abu Al-Masayeb, jointly with his brother Ali Abu Khamra, and his latest television work is the series Al-Fashafish, which is shown on Al-Sharqiya channel, and which met with overwhelming success, as its episodes achieved millions of views on YouTube. He combined two series into one series, namely Al-Atak and Shalash.
