
An Egyptian musician and singer, born in Tanta, Gharbia Governorate, in 1937. He studied at the Faculty of Commerce at Alexandria University, and then joined the Arab Music Institute, where he obtained the institute’s diploma. He also studied music composition at Stanford University in the United States of America. Mohamed Noah collaborated with many prominent singers on the scene, including Ali Al-Hajjar, Mohamed Al-Helou, and Afaf Radi. Muhammad Nouh formed a singing group after the October War of 1973, calling it “Al-Nahar” band, which was famous for its passionate patriotic songs. He also formed “Noah’s Quartet,” which was composed of him, his son, and his two daughters. Noah composed the soundtracks for many films, including: Crystal, Mercedes, Al-Muhajir, and Alexandria Kaman Wa Kaman. Noah also worked as a professor in the field of acoustics at the Higher Institute of Cinema, and a professor in musical theater at the Institute of Arab Music, and he also published many research papers on Pharaonic music. He died in 2012 at the age of 75
