Laila Helmy

One of the creative singers, she spent a long period of her life in Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, where she worked in various cabarets and had many fans. Her singing era goes back to the early thirties of the last century, when she sang at the Monte Carollo Casino in Alexandria. Then she went to Egyptian radio in 1934, and her star began to shine, as she presented many artistic works by Tahleen Muhammad Al-Wahab and Zakaria Ahmed, who is the older sister of the artist Soraya Helmy.
