Jamal Hammad

An Egyptian author and military general, historian and novelist, born on May 10, 1921 AD. He graduated from the Military College in mid-April 1939, where he began his military service in Sudan. He then moved to the Canal Zone and then to Alexandria during World War II. He worked as a teacher of military tactics and weapons at the Infantry School and the Military College in Egypt between 1942 and 1946. He joined the Free Officers Movement in 1950 and participated in preparing for the July Revolution. 1952 AD in Egypt and wrote the first revolution statement. He was appointed Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Revolution, Major General Muhammad Naguib, and was later assigned to work as a military attaché to Egypt between 1952 and 1957 in Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, and Iraq. He was appointed governor of Kafr El-Sheikh and then governor of Menoufia between 1965 and 1968. His name was placed at the top of the list of Free Officers when a presidential decree was issued in 1972. He published several books about the July Revolution and its secrets, until he was named a historian of the revolution.
