Ismail Mahmoud

An Egyptian actor, born in Alexandria, he studied law, then he joined the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, studied drama, and initially played several small roles, including the movie (Edge of the Sword) and the series (Ghawish), and after that he began his work, which brought him success. He participated in many prominent works and presented important characters that the audience always remembers, especially with director Ismail Abdel Hafez and also director Gamal Abdel Hamid. The series “Layali Al-Helmeya” is one of the most important roles he performed, as he embodied in the five parts of the work the character of “Zaher”, the son of “Suleiman Ghanem” - Salah Al-Saadani. Ismail Mahmoud participated in the series “Al-Mawardi Street” with director Ismail Abdel Hafez also in 1990 and embodied the character of the teacher “Khamis”. He also played an important role in the series “Arabesque” with the star Salah Al-Saadani and director Gamal Abdel Hamid, where he embodied the character of Officer Hamdy during the events of the work that was shown in 1994, in addition to his participation in the starring role of the series “Zezinia” in its first and second parts with the star Yahya Al-Fakharani and the director. Gamal Abdel Hamid also in 1997 and portrayed the character “Asran”. Ismail Mahmoud also worked in the series “Umm Kulthum” with the star Sabreen and director Angham Mohamed Ali in 1999 and portrayed the character “Mahmoud Al-Sharif,” and in the series “Disobedience” by the star Mahmoud Yassin and directed by Ahmed Al-Sabaadi, he played one of the starring roles in the work through the character of “Asem Al-Gharbawi,” Mahmoud Yassin’s son in the work, who is killed and the killer is searched for throughout the events of the work. Ismail Mahmoud appeared in the last two years in the series “Al-Gamaa 2” with writer Waheed Hamed and directed by Sherif El-Bandari. He embodied the character of Mohamed Naguib, the first President of the Republic of Egypt, and before him he worked with leader Adel Imam in two series: “His Excellency” in 2014, and “Professor Head of Department” in 2015.
