
An Egyptian actress, born on March 17, 1910. Her real name is Fouada Ibrahim Hussein. She was discovered by Anwar Wagdy, supported her, and introduced her to director Mohamed Karim. Her first film was the movie Happy Day, which he directed in 1940 and starred by Abdel Wahab. Elham Hussein concluded her cinematic and artistic career by appearing in 1947 in the movie “Ghani Harb” by director Niazi Mustafa. She married Anwar Wagdy, but divorced him after a marriage that only lasted six months. She established her own production company. In the late forties, she retired from art and decided to invest her money in free businesses, which she lost all of in the Great Cairo Fire of 1949. In 1949, she met a young Saudi man who was studying in Cairo at the time. They fell in love with each other and got married. She moved with him to Jeddah, where they opened a restaurant, and they had two daughters. After moving to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Elham did not think about returning to her homeland, so she died in Jeddah of a heart attack on June 15, 2003, at the age of 93 years.
