Faris Rahoma

Fares Rahouma is an Egyptian-Austrian actor, broadcaster, and screenwriter. He was born in Weiz, Steyrmark, Austria, to an Egyptian father from Faqus, Sharkia Governorate, and an Austrian mother. His father, Nabil Rahouma, traveled in 1973 from Sharkia Governorate to Weiz. Then the family moved to Vienna a year after Fares’ birth. It was his first time coming to Egypt when he was a year and a half old. The first language he spoke was Arabic. Fares used to come with his family to Egypt every year and spend two months there. After primary school he visited high school. He left school at the age of sixteen to study acting at a institute in Vienna. He graduated in 1995 with a diploma. He made his debut in a movie in 1985 when he was eight years old, then he played a role in a series in 1986.
