Egyptian writer, journalist, and author, born on April 5, 1929 in Cairo. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy and Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, class of May 1950. He obtained two diplomas in journalism and political science from the same college in 1953. He worked in several newspapers and magazines before joining the Journalists Syndicate in 1957, and he was the owner of the most famous radio program broadcast on Egyptian Radio for thirty-five years and more between the early sixties and the mid-nineties, which is (What would you do if you were in my place?). He worked for Dar Al Hilal, Al Kawakib, Your Private Doctor, October Magazine, and some Arab newspapers that were keen to contract with him to benefit from his stardom in increasing circulation. He worked for Al-Jumhuriya newspaper before joining Dar Al-Hilal, and his period of work in Al-Jumhuriya was considered one of the richest periods in his extended journalistic career. He was assigned to supervise the section (Hadith Al-Madina) in Al-Jumhuriya newspaper, and he did not continue working for Al-Jumhuriya newspaper for long. He continued to supervise the section (Hadith Al-Madina) for nearly a year and a half. He presented Egyptian cinema with three films for which he wrote the story, scenario and dialogue, perhaps the most prominent of which is the film (Black Candles). He died on April 25, 1996
