
An Egyptian author and broadcaster, born on August 12, 1923 in the village of Nawa in Qalyubia Governorate. His family was displaced from Morocco, where they settled in this village. Anwar Al-Mishri received his primary studies at Al-Nahhasin School in Cairo, then he joined the Saidiya School in Giza, and obtained a baccalaureate degree in 1940. He then obtained a Bachelor of Arts in the English Language Department from Cairo University, and was appointed to the Ministry of Public Education after his graduation. Anwar Al-Mishri is an author, translator, and creator of all forms of radio arts. He also presented a three-act play entitled “Egypt Coffee” for the theater. Among his most important works are: the musical program “Fava Beans,” the operetta “Awad” and “Awf,” and other singing programs and episodes of the series “The Inspector and Summer Vacation.” He also wrote many short stories, of which he published twenty-three stories, twenty of which were translated, including the book “Communicating with the Public,” about “Eric Bruno.” In collaboration with Professor Salah Ezz El-Din. He died on 11/21/1963
