Ahmad Awwad

An Egyptian director, born in Alexandria in 1966. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Cinema, and was subsequently appointed as a teaching assistant at the institute. He obtained a doctorate in the field of directing. He worked as an assistant director with a number of prominent directors, including the late Youssef Shaheen and Ali Badrakhan. He directed his first feature film (Also in Zamalek) in 2002, and followed it with the films (Talk to Mama, I Want to Take Off, Katakot, Bon Soiree).
