Overview

Welcome to Lebanon is a Lebanese comedy following businessman Zuhair Chmila, who returns to Lebanon after thirty years in the United States, bringing his wife Yvonne and daughter Anna Maria Bella to reconnect with their roots. Assigned to guide them is taxi driver Farouk, a seasoned handler of tourists — but nothing prepares him for the chaos that follows as the Americanized family collides headlong with Lebanese customs, contradictions, and street-level humor. The comedy deepens when Zuhair's American business rival Sam Rizk hires a local mafia figure and "the Russian Penguin" to eliminate him, turning a sentimental homecoming into an increasingly farcical adventure full of cultural clashes and absurd plot twists.
