Wedy Atkalam, is a 2018 Kuwaiti movie, directed by Sadeq Behbehani, and starring Layla Abdullah, Khaled Al-Buraiki, Abdullah Al-Busairi. with a runtime of 73 minutes.
Wedy Atkalam is a Kuwaiti drama film following Masoud, a filmmaker dedicated to shining a light on the social problems reshaping his country. Both his professional and personal lives are battlegrounds: at work, he runs up against the obstacles that come with making challenging, socially conscious art in a conservative environment, while at home he contends with a girlfriend increasingly consumed by social media and disconnected from the world around her. The film uses Masoud's struggles as a lens through which to examine the negative currents running through contemporary Kuwaiti society — and to ask whether art still has the power to change anything at all.
