Overview
A Room with a View — retitled from Un autre jour d'été — is a Lebanese drama film set on August 4th, 2020, the day of the Beirut port explosion. Wael, unemployed and stripped of hope for any normal future in Lebanon, reaches his breaking point and attempts to end his life — unaware that within moments, a catastrophic blast will shatter the city around him. The film captures with devastating intimacy the despair that preceded and collided with the explosion, weaving personal crisis into collective trauma. It is both an individual story of hopelessness and a document of a city pushed to its absolute limit.
