Overview

The Forgotten is a poignant drama about Mustafa, a man expelled from his village in the Syrian Golan Heights forty-five years ago. Now in the final chapter of his life, he makes a fateful decision to slip across the Israeli border with the help of a local smuggler. This is not a journey of hopeful return — it is a one-way trip, undertaken by a man at peace with ending his days where his story began. The film is a quietly devastating meditation on displacement, the right of return, and what it means to belong to a place that no longer belongs to you.
