Overview

Soukoon is a short drama that observes Mariam at a quiet but critical crossroads: her marriage is deteriorating and she fears she may be pregnant. The film works entirely through restraint — sparse dialogue, close observation, and a heavy silence that communicates what words cannot. It is an intimate and uncomfortable portrait of a woman caught between the wreckage of one life and the anxiety of an uncertain future, with no clear way forward and no one to turn to. A compact, precisely observed study of feminine interiority under pressure.
