Overview

Bond is a Saudi short film that delves into the strained relationship between a father and son who represent two contrasting generations of contemporary Saudi society. The generational divide between the father's traditional values and the son's modern outlook creates a palpable emotional distance, casting a shadow over their connection. With a restrained and sensitive approach, the film examines how differing worldviews can alienate those closest to us while also hinting at the possibility of understanding across generational lines. Bond is a thoughtful meditation on identity, belonging, and the social transformations reshaping Saudi Arabia today.
