Overview

Salam is a quietly powerful short film that follows a deaf man as he encounters the noise and richness of life's sounds for the very first time. Through a restrained and observational approach, the film captures the wonder, disorientation, and emotional awakening that accompany this singular sensory experience. A reflective piece on the boundaries between silence and sound, Salam uses its premise to explore what it means to perceive the world anew.
