Overview
Mixtape is a Bahraini short film about Saloom, a mischievous boy from a working-class family who fakes illness to skip school and spends the day absorbed in his older brother's beloved mixtape. When he accidentally ruins the tape and is caught, he is overwhelmed with shame and sets out to get it fixed at a local music shop — only to find it cannot be repaired. Forced to reconstruct the tape from memory, Saloom embarks on a small but transformative journey that uncovers a hidden musical talent he never knew he had.
