Overview

Selfies is a poignant short documentary centered on Reema Mahmoud, a Palestinian woman displaced by the war in Gaza. Through the metaphor of a message in a bottle, Reema shares her story with the world — recounting the beautiful, ordinary life she once knew before it was shattered by conflict. Her words are both a personal testimony and a universal appeal: a call for people everywhere to cherish what they have and to recognize the precious, fragile nature of peace. Intimate and deeply human, Selfies offers a rare first-person glimpse into the lived experience of displacement and the enduring hope that survives it.
