Potato is an Arabic short film inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's iconic painting The Potato Eaters. Two impoverished families share a single dwelling, with the story focusing on father Rady, mother Ahlam, and their young daughter. Gathered around the dining table, tension simmers beneath the surface of ordinary conversation until the child abruptly interrupts the adults, lunging hungrily for the food. She suddenly collapses with symptoms of poisoning as the surrounding adults exchange charged, ambiguous glances.
