The Good Families, is a 1973 Algerian movie, directed by Djafar Damardji, and starring Djafar Damardji, Hassan El-Hassani. Khaled Safer.
Les Bonnes Familles (The Good Families) is an Algerian film that takes a critical, dialectical look at the social phenomenon of family alliances across urban and rural settings in Algeria, examining the rise of a technocratic class alongside a landed bourgeoisie. Completed as a finished work, the film was apparently never formally distributed by the national film organization ONCIC, leaving it largely unseen. A rare document of Algerian social cinema that probes class tension and elite formation during a pivotal period in the country's modern history.
