Kayan is a Saudi-Egyptian horror film that follows a Saudi couple who travel to Egypt with their infant to visit friends. The couple soon find themselves trapped, haunted by the ghosts of sins from their shared past that refuse to remain buried. Directed to build dread through mounting psychological tension and suffocating darkness rather than cheap shocks, Kayan forces its protagonists into a terrifying reckoning that lasts until dawn.
