Overview
Haneen is a documentary film that probes the meaning of homeland, belonging, and identity through three interwoven stories. The first follows one of the Bedoon — a stateless community living in the UAE without citizenship. The second traces a Palestinian woman carrying the trauma of the Sabra and Shatila massacre from the early 1980s, her longing for a homeland she can no longer reach. The third turns to a visual artist consumed by existential and philosophical questions about self and origin. Together, their stories form a meditation on the particular ache of a nostalgia that has no place to rest.
