Casablanca by Night is a Moroccan drama following Kaltoum, a 15-year-old girl forced into working at a Casablanca nightclub to fund a critical medical operation for her younger brother. Entering a world she was wholly unprepared for, Kaltoum gradually discovers the harsh and exploitative realities hidden behind the city's nocturnal glamour. A coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of poverty and family sacrifice, the film is a raw portrait of innocence tested by desperation in one of Morocco's most vibrant and unequal cities.
