Au Retour des Marées is a Lebanese drama following a woman who returns to Beirut after years of absence — not by choice, but to bury her mother. A solitary walk at dawn draws her deep into the city and eventually toward Abdallah, her former lover. Yet the reunion she finds is shadowed by everything that has accumulated between them: time, distance, and the diverging paths of their lives. A delicately rendered film about the impossibility of return and the encounters that exist somewhere between memory and the present.
