Searching — أسيغل — is a Tachelhit (Amazigh) language film set in a rural community under the thumb of Amghar, a powerful tribal leader who seizes farmers' lands by force and keeps their title deeds locked in a copper box. When the key to that box mysteriously disappears, Amghar's authority is suddenly undermined, and despite trying every means at his disposal, he cannot retrieve it. His daughter Tafoukt offers a wedding prize to whoever finds the missing key, turning the tribal chief's predicament into a village-wide search that blends social commentary with folk storytelling. The film offers a gentle but pointed look at power, community, and the unexpected ways ordinary objects can upend the powerful.
